There are great fishing opportunities, just outside of Sund where it is possible to catch anything from cod, pollock, perch, haddock, wolf fish, herring and mackerel to halibut and salmon.

For those who wish to try out their fishing "luck" with big game, organized tours can be arranged on larger fishing boats.

During the February and March months, Arctic cod (Skrei) travel from Barents Sea in to Lofoten to spawn. With this event, hundreds of boats partake in the traditional "Lofot fishing". To experience this chaotic fishing in close proximity, we organize tours into the fishing fields.

The following pictures show a basking shark caught by Finn Moe just outside of Sund in 2006. The specimen is a whopping 410cms long and an incredible 340kgs! The basking shark is in the worlds second largest fish.
